The Language of Intuition

In his viral TED Talk, the late Sir Ken Robinson observed that some of us treat our bodies as a vehicle to take our heads to meetings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s how I’ve felt for most of my life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve operated exclusively from the neck up.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But in the last few years, I’ve started to wonder about the wisdom of my body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Intuition avoids speaking to the head. It speaks to the gut. To the heart.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It hasn’t been easy for me to learn to hear its voice. Intuition speaks subtly at first. I would wonder, “Was that it?”

If you’re interested in connecting with intuitive guidance, here are some tips that I’ve learned during my journey:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keep a journal of all the subtle messages you receive. Note whether you follow the nudges, and what the result is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pay attention to odd aches and pains that pop up, and note what you were thinking about/doing at the time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Keep track of any insights you receive during meditation. Your strongest messages will often come when your mind is quiet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dismiss nothing. Even the most strange and subtle “pings” can deliver sacred insight.

Do you listen to your intuition? Have you noticed any patterns in how it likes to speak? What gems has your intuitive guidance delivered recently?
